Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock.
Both bolt knobs are cracked. Non-matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges at the rear of the butt. Heavy pressure mark above the magazine lever. Heavy gouge below the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges at the rear of the butt and mild pressure marks throughout the butt. On the underside of the stock, there are light gouges behind the front barrel band. Heavy gouging on the wrist at the receiver tang. Heavy pressure mark on the top side of the stock, to the left of the barrel. Handguard has a light gouge in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has light to mild edge wear throughout. The forward half of the receiver has light to mild finish wear. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light patina.
Receiver is P21 stamped, indicating privatization in 1921.
