Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, small spot of light pitting near the start of the rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers except for the bolt knob.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges throughout the butt. Mild gouging below the bolt release lever. Light gouging in front of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark at the forward end of the butt. Light gouging before the rear barrel band. Heavy gouge about halfway between the barrel bands. Handguard has light gouging before the front barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and mild patina. Rear barrel band has mildly worn finish and mild patina. Front barrel band has mild to heavy finish wear. Trigger guard has mildly worn finish and light patina.
No P stamp noted.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
A sheet metal stopper had been installed to prevent the magazine from being disengaged with the magazine lever.
