Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in good condition with 85% finish. 2/5 Bore (heavily worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is chipped. Lower bolt knob is cracked and chipped.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges throughout the butt. Light gouging behind the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, "StG" for St Gallen is stamped above the finger groove. Light gouging around the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are heavy gouges on the wrist. Light gouging between the magazine plate and rear barrel band. Heavy pressure mark at the center of the comb. Heavy gouge at the receiver tang. Handguard has light gouging behind the rear barrel band.
Receiver has mild patina throughout. "StG" stamped below the barrel's serial number. Rear barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Front barrel band has mild patina.
