Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is cracked.
On the right side of the stock there is a mild pressure mark at the rear of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are mild pressure marks at the forward end of the butt, rear of the wrist. The initials "MM" are found carved into the butt. Light gouge on the forearm behind the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge behind the rear sling mount and light gouging on the wrist. Light gouging behind the magazine well. Mild gouge on the handguard in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has mildly worn finish and mild patina throughout. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish and heavy patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard has heavy patina. Trigger guard has heavy edge wear.
Receiver is P19 stamped, indicating privatization in 1919.
Includes leather sling.
