Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1895, in very good condition with 90% finish. 3/5 Bore (light to mild pitting throughout). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked. Upper bolt knob is also chipped.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges throughout the rear of the butt. Small, deep pressure mark before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are mild pressure marks and a light gouge on the butt. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge on the wrist. Light gouging between the magazine plate and rear barrel band. Heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band.
All bluing was previously refurbished.
Receiver has light edge wear and light pitting. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light patina.
No P stamp noted. ·6 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1906.
Includes leather sling.
