Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1895, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers except for the bolt knob.
Both bolt knobs are cracked. Lower bolt knob is also chipped.
Stock is chipped on the left side in front of the front barrel band.
On the right side of the stock there are mild to heavy pressure marks at the rear of the butt. Mild to heavy gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are heavy gouges on the butt at the toe and mild gouging along the bottom. Mild pressure marks between the wrist and the finger groove. Heavy pressure mark before the finger groove. Mild gouge in front of the finger groove. Mild pressure mark before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are mild pressure marks before the rear barrel band. 1/4" crack on the top of the wrist at the receiver tang. Handguard has a light gouge before the rear barrel band.
Receiver has heavily worn finish and heavy pitting. Rear barrel band has mild to heavily worn finish and heavy patina throughout. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate has heavy patina. Trigger guard has heavy patina and light pitting.
