Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1893, in good condition with 70% finish. 4/5 Bore (light pitting around the muzzle). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked. Upper bolt knob is also chipped.
On the right side of the stock, there are mild pressure marks at the rear of the butt and a pair of heavy pressure marks on the forward end of the butt, before the wrist. On the left side of the stock, there are mild pressure marks toward the forward end of the butt. Mild pressure marks and light gouges in and around the finger groove. On the underside of the stock, there is a heavy pressure mark and a heavy gouge at the wrist. Light gouge in front of the magazine plate.
Magazine plate, trigger guard, and receiver screws have been reblued.
Receiver finish is heavily worn and is approaching white in some areas. Rear barrel band is almost in the white. Front barrel band has mild edge wear and scratches throughout. Magazine plate and trigger guard has light pitting throughout.
Receiver is P22 stamped, indicating privatization in 1922.
