Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1893, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
On the right side of the stock, there are a pair of heavy gouges on the butt. Light gouging on the wrist. Heavy gouge inside the finger groove. Small spots of white paint behind the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark and light gouging around the center of the butt. Light gouging on the wrist, above the trigger guard. Mild pressure marks over the magazine. Heavy gouging and mild pressure marks behind the rear barrel band. Long, heavy pressure marks running between the barrel bands. On the underside there is a heavy gouge on the wrist and a heavy pressure mark to the left of the trigger guard. Light gouging along the comb. Heavy pressure mark and a mild gouge on the top of the wrist, to the right of the receiver tang.
Receiver has light edge wear and light surface marks throughout. Rear barrel band has light edge wear. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light surface marks.
P stamped receiver. ·6 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1906.
