Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 80% finish. 3/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked. Lower bolt knob is chipped.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt below the comb. Light gouging around the rear of the finger groove. Light gouging on the forearm between the barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges at the rear of the butt and light gouging on the wrist. Heavy gouge on the woodline, forward of the wrist. Heavy pressure marks in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are heavy pressure marks and light gouging on the wrist. Mild pressure marks in front of the magazine plate. Heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band spring. Handguard has a light gouge near the ferrule.
Receiver has mild to heavy finish wear and mild patina throughout. Light to mild pitting throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish, patina, and pitting throughout. Magazine plate and trigger guard has light to mild pitting throughout.
Receiver is P21 stamped, indicating privatization in 1921.
