Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1897, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers. Includes matching bayonet.
On the right side of the stock there is a mild gouge halfway between the barrel bands and a heavy gouge before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt near the comb. Light gouging on the butt before the wrist. Heavy gouge on the rear edge of the finger groove. Light gouging before the rear barrel band. Heavy pressure marks and light gouging between the barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging on the wrist. Scratches and light gouging before the rear barrel band. Handguard has light gouging before the front barrel band.
Receiver finish is lightly worn and has light patina and light surface marks. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish and light pitting. Magazine plate and trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light patina. Magazine has heavily worn finish.
P32 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1932.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
Includes matching serial number model 1889 bayonet, produced by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen, with scabbard and leather frog.
Blade has scratches, light patina, and light pitting. Surface marks on the guard and pommel.
Sattler stamp on the frog is illegible except for that it was made in Bern.
