Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in Very Good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Bolt non-matching serial number (s/n 114946).
Upper bolt knob is cracked. Lower bolt knob is chipped.
Stock has tiger striping on the rear half.
On the right side of the stock there is light gouging throughout the butt, as well as some small holes which may be from insects. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt below the comb. Light gouging on the woodline. Light gouging before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging on the wrist. Light gouging before the rear barrel band. On the top of the stock there is a heavy gouge on the comb. Mild gouge and a small 1/4" crack at the receiver tang. Handguard has a scratch in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has mildly worn finish and mild pitting. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish and light pitting. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard have lightly worn finish and light pitting. Magazine has heavily worn finish and patina.
