Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1897, in Very Good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Stock has tiger striping on the right side of the stock at the butt.
On the right side of the stock there are heavy gouges on the butt near the heel and a small group of large, shallow pressure marks. Light gouging at the forward end of the butt. Mild pressure marks before the finger groove. Light gouging around the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt. Large, shallow pressure mark on the wrist. Mild pressure mark and light gouging before the finger groove. Light gouging in front of the finger groove. Light gouging halfway between the barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging on the butt. Light gouging between the magazine plate and rear barrel band. Light gouging before the front barrel band. On the top of the stock there are heavy pressure marks on the top of the wrist. Handguard has light and mild gouging around the rear barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish, light pitting, and light surface marks. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish. Magazine plate and trigger guard have mildly worn finish and light patina.
