Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1896, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked.
On the right side of the stock there is light gouging on the butt. Scratch below the bolt release lever. Mild pressure marks between the bolt release lever and the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark and light gouge at the forward end of the butt. Spots of black paint inside of the finger groove. Heavy pressure marks between the barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge on the butt in front of the sling mount. Light to mild gouging on the wrist. Mild pressure marks along the comb. 1/2" crack at the receiver tang. Handguard has heavy pressure marks between the barrel bands.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light surface marks. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish and light patina. Front barrel band has heavily worn finish. Magazine plate and trigger guard has light to mild pitting. Trigger guard has mildly worn finish and patina.
