Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1894, in Good condition with 60% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is cracked and unserialized.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished.
Stock has faint tiger striping.
On the right side of the stock there is light gouging before the finger groove. Mild gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is light gouging on the butt above the sling mount. Light gouging on the wrist. On the top of the stock there is heavy gouging at the receiver tang. Handguard has light gouging between the ferrule and rear barrel band. Light gouging halfway between the barrel bands.
Receiver has heavily worn finish, heavy patina, and light pitting. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard have light pitting. Magazine plate has heavily worn finish and is in the white at the wrist. Trigger guard h as heavily worn finish. Magazine has heavily worn finish and is in the white on the underside.
P25 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1925.
Includes muzzle cover.
