Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1893, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is chipped.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges at the rear of the butt. Light gouge above the magazine. Long gouge forward of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy gouge and mild pressure marks at the rear of the butt. Light gouging on the wrist. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging along the butt. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. Handguard has light gouging between the barrel bands.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light pitting. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish. Trigger guard has light to mild finish wear and light patina.
P27 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1927.
·6 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1906.
