Antique Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1893, in Very Good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, light pitting). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked. Lower bolt knob is also chipped.
On the right side of the stock there are mild pressure marks along the bottom of the butt. Heavy pressure marks and light gouging between the wrist and finger groove. Light gouging on the forward edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges around the center of the butt and a mild gouge toward the bottom of the butt. Heavy gouge forward of the wrist. Mild gouge before the finger groove. Light gouging around the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging on the wrist. On the top of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark and light gouge at the center of the comb. Heavy gouging on the top of the wrist. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark near the ferrule. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band and heavy pressure marks halfway between the barrel bands.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light patina. Both barrel bands have light to mild finish wear. Magazine plate has light to mild patina. Trigger guard has light to mild edge wear and light to mild patina. Magazine has heavily worn finish.
Includes leather sling.
