Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1893, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Faint tiger striping on the underside of the stock.
On the right side of the stock there are heavy gouges toward the bottom of the butt. Light gouge before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt near the rear of the comb. Light gouging in front of the finger groove. Light gouging halfway between the barrel bands. Heavy pressure mark on the top of the stock at the forward end of the comb.
Receiver has light pitting and light surface marks. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish, light patina, and tool marks. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish.
P30 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1930.
·8 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1908.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
