W+F Bern Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle - sn 102xxx
Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers except for the bolt knob.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock there are mild pressure marks at the rear of the butt and a light gouge on the wrist. Mild gouge before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark on the rear of the butt near the heel. StG stamped above the finger groove for St. Gallen. Light gouging before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging on the wrist. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish. Rear barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Front barrel band has heavily worn finish and heavy pitting. Magazine plate and trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light patina.
