Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers except for the butt plate.
Tip of the firing pin is broken.
Tiger stripe pattern throughout the butt of the stock.
Stock has a small 1/2" crack at the receiver tang.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished.
On the left side of the stock, there is a heavy gouge near the bottom of the grip. On the underside of the stock there is a light gouge on the grip near the magazine plate. Handguard has a large, light pressure mark and a light gouge behind the rear barrel band.
Receiver has mild to heavy finish wear and mild patina throughout. Both barrel bands have heavy finish wear and mild to heavy patina. Rear barrel band has mild pitting. Heavy finish wear and heavy patina on the magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine.
No P stamp.
