Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (very light pitting at the start of the rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the left side of the stock, there are light to mild gouges near the bottom edge of the butt. Light gouge at the woodline, forward of the grip. Light gouge before the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark and mild gouge on the butt near the magazine plate. Light gouge near the right side of the trigger guard. Handguard has light gouges next to the ferrule and light surface marks on the ferrule.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear and light patina throughout. Mild patina and light surface marks throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have mild finish wear and light patina. Heavy tool marks on the barrel band screws. Magazine plate and trigger guard has light finish wear and light surface marks.
