Swiss K11 Carbine, converted from a 1905 Cavalry Carbine originally produced in 1906, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, light pitting). 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Handguard has tiger striping.
On the right side of the stock, the name "BONGARD" is stamped on the butt and "/BH" has been scratched into the butt next to the stamp. Light gouging throughout the butt. Mild pressure marks on the wrist. Light gouging below the bolt release lever. Between the bolt release lever and the finger groove is stamped "SSSXA 1947 BONGARD 11". Heavy pressure marks around the rear barrel band. Scratches before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges and mild pressure marks on the butt above the sling mount. "Bongard IV/15" scratched into the forward end of the butt. Light gouge and mild pressure marks above the finger groove. Heavy pressure mark before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a mild gouge on the butt near the toe. Light gouging in front of the magazine plate. Light gouging around the center of the comb. Handguard has light gouging at the rear.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear, mild patina, and light pitting. Long scratches on the left side of the receiver. Both barrel bands have mildly worn finish and mild patina. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish and light surface marks. Magazine base has heavily worn finish.
P37 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1937. 29 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1929.
Soldier's tag found behind the butt plate. The soldier's tag matches the name found on the stock.
Includes aluminum muzzle cover and leather sling.
