Product Description
Mosin Nagant 91/30, produced by the Tula arsenal in 1928, in very good condition with 85% finish. 3/5 Bore (dark bore, lightly worn rifling, mild pitting throughout). 4/5 Stock.
Pre-1930 production means this was originally an 1891 Dragoon, which was later converted into the 1891/30.
When this rifle was imported into the US by PW Arms, they had engraved a serial number of RMN099xxx, however the serial number found over the barrel shank is 72341. Bolt matches the serial number. Magazine matches the serial number. Butt plate matches the serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there is a light surface gouge at the butt and a light surface gouge on the grip. On the left side of the stock, there are heavy pressure marks around the center of the stock. Mild pressure marks along the comb. Large area of heavy finish wear between the finger groove and the rear barrel band. Light gouge in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver is an older "hex receiver", consistent with the manufacturing year and other stamps. Light edge wear throughout the receiver. Heavy finish wear on the top side of the rear barrel band. Heavy pitting on the underside of the barrel. Small spot of heavy pitting on the left side of the magazine.
Barrel shank is stamped with Tula Arsenal star stamp, additional stamps, and text in Cyrillic: Первые оружейные заводы СССР в Туле.
