Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1901, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (light pitting). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Converted to .22LR. Barrel was bored out to install a conversion sleeve. The .22LR conversion sleeve terminates about 7" before the end of the barrel.
Stock has an armory repaired 2" crack on the left side at the wrist.
On the right side of the stock there is a light gouge around the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges throughout the butt. Light gouging above the magazine. On the underside of the stock there is a light gouge behind the pistol grip. Handguard has a light gouge at the rear.
Bluing was previously refurbished.
Receiver has lightly worn finish. Mild surface mark on the forward edge of the loading slot. Heavy surface mark on the right side of the receiver. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish and mild patina. Trigger guard has light to mild finish wear.
Receiver is P37 stamped, indicating privatization in 1937.
