Swiss Martini target rifle, made by Joh. Siegrist of St. Gallen, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 1/5 Stock.
The stock has a pivoting system at the wrist, allowing you to adjust the angle of the butt. It is adjusted by turning the second to last screw on the underside at the tang.
On the right side of the stock, there are heavy gouges near the toe. A brass plaque bears the original owner's name "Conrad Kronlein" of Stein am. Rhein (canton Schaffhausen). On the left side of the stock there are large cracks at the top rear of the cheek piece and a heavy gouge on the forward edge. Heavy gouging on the underside of the stock at the toe. On the top side of the butt there is a 1" crack at the forward end of the comb, before the wrist. On the right side of the forearm there are heavy scrapes and heavy handling wear at the forward end.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear on the left and right sides. Barrel has light edge wear throughout. A screw is missing on the underside of the receiver.
"Joh. Siegrist" stamped on the right side of the receiver. "St. Gallen" stamped on the left side of the receiver. An encircled "11" is stamped over the chamber and on the barrel, indicating that the rifle is for use with GP11 ammunition. The front sight features an easy-change system; the front sight post can be removed by depressing a spring lever.
