SIG Mannlicher 1893 Cavalry Carbine, produced 1895-96, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
On the right side of the stock there are small, mild pressure marks on the wrist. Heavy gouge in front of the barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a small group of mild pressure marks rear of the wrist. Light gouging above the magazine. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges at the forward end of the butt. Light gouging in front of the magazine. Light gouging at the forward end of the comb. Mild to heavy gouging on the top of the wrist around the receiver tang. On the left side of the handguard there are light gouges between the barrel band and end cap. On the right side of the handguard there is a small gouge on the woodline near the rear sight. On the top of the handguard there is mild gouging before the barrel band.
Receiver has light surface marks and light pitting throughout. Barrel band has light pitting. Trigger guard has mild to heavy finish wear.
Receiver is P33 stamped, indicating privatization in 1933.
Includes leather sling.
This scarce example of a Swiss Mannlicher 1893 is one of only 4,250 total produced at SIG Neuhausen between 1895-1896. 1893 models produced afterward were produced by W+F BERN.
