Product Description
Snider-Enfield Artillery Carbine, produced in 1876, in good condition. Steel is in the white. 3/5 Bore (a few spots of mild pitting in the center of the bore, fine considering its age). 1/5 Stock. Front barrel band has a matching serial number.
Lock plate is stamped with "1876 FA" which suggests this was produced in Portugal (Fabrica de Armas) in 1876.
Stock has a deep crack on the left side by the breech lock.
On the right side of the stock, there are heavy gouges and heavy pressure marks throughout the butt. Heavy pressure marks in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks throughout the butt. Light gouge in front of the rear barrel band. Light gouge behind the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge in front of the trigger guard.
Barrel has heavy pitting along the woodline between the barrel bands. Brass butt plate and trigger guard has patina.
Missing the ejector guide rod retention screw. Rear of the firing pin is broken off. Rear sling swivel screw is stripped but still stays within the stock.
Includes cleaning rod.
