Product Description
Peruvian military contract Mauser 1909, manufactured by Mauser in Oberndorf, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All serialized parts matching serial numbers.
The bolt has a matching serial number, which is rare as the bolts were stored separately from the rifle, and the Peruvian military did not care about matching bolts with the rifle as they were seen as interchangeable.
On the right side of the stock, the Mauser logo export stamp and a wreath acceptance stamp are found on the butt. Light gouge rear of the pistol grip. Mild gouging below the ejection port. On the left side of the stock, there are light gouges and a thin, heavy pressure mark on the forward end of the butt, before the grip. Heavy pressure mark below the woodline, before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock, matching serial number is stamped, along with an acceptance stamp before the rear sling mount, and what looks to be an intertwined MW stamp on the wrist.
Receiver is stamped on the chamber with the crest of the Peruvian republic and "MAUSER ORIGINAL". Waffenfabrik Mauser-Oberndorf stamp on the left side.
Receiver and bolt are correctly in the white. Light edge wear on the bolt release. Barrel bands have mildly worn finish.
Includes cleaning rod.
