Italian Carcano model 1891, produced in Terni in 1918, in good condition with 85% finish. 2/5 Bore (mild to heavy pitting throughout). 4/5 Stock.
Furniture was sanded and refinished.
On the right side of the stock there is a light gouge near the rear of the comb. On the left side of the stock there are remains of light gouges on the butt. Heavy pressure marks behind the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a light gouge on the toe. On the top of the handguard there is a small wooden insert at the rear end, which may be some sort of repair. On the right side of the handguard there is a heavy pressure mark at the woodline before the rear barrel band.
Receiver has light surface marks throughout. Small, heavy surface mark on the right side of the rear sight. Barrel bands have light edge wear and multiple surface marks throughout. Trigger guard has light edge wear and light surface marks throughout.
Includes cleaning rod and leather sling.
