Product Description
Swiss K31 Carbine in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 5/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
This is an exceedingly rare, purpose-built rimfire K31 manufactured by Waffenfabrik Bern intended for military sports shooting. It retains the K31's straight-pull bolt action and the barrel is a dedicated .22LR barrel, not a conversion. It is estimated that there are only around 50-60 made in total. It is single shot; the magazine is cosmetic in nature.
A bear, the symbol of city and canton Bern, is stamped on the receiver below the serial number. The barrel step shows a matching serial number, BP proof stamp, an inspector stamp, and military acceptance stamp. The bolt is stamped with its matching two digit serial number, which is only possible to do so before the steel is hardened.
Stock and handguard match the receiver's serial number. The stock has a date stamp of IX 42 (September 1942).
The stock has a small, mild pressure mark on the comb.
Receiver finish is lightly worn. Front barrel band has light finish wear and light patina. Magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine has light finish wear.
Rear sight is a Furter Feinvizier micrometric sight, with fine adjustments for windage and elevation. Coarse elevation adjustments are available from 100 to 500 meters in 100 meter increments.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
This rifle is not to be mistaken with the Albert Furter K31, Lienhard K31 Kleinkaliber, the Anschütz Model 57, nor the Hämmerli KKSD series.
