DWM Luger 1900/06 w/ Holster - sn 53xx
DWM Luger model 1900/06, delivered to the Swiss Military in 1906, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. All visible serial numbers matching. Grips matching serial numbers. Little straw finish remaining.
Luger was likely refinished at some point. Right side of the frame has mild edge wear at the forward edge with a mark in the metal on the corner. Light edge wear along the upper edge. There is an area of light pitting at the upper rear end of the frame. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. The left side of the frame has light finish wear and light edge wear at the forward edge. Light edge wear on the high area of the side plate, with an area of heavy finish wear on the upper left corner. Light edge wear on the upper edge of the frame continues to the rear. Very light mark in the finish from safety selector usage. There are a few spots of light pitting at the top of the backstrap. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. The front strap has some scattered light pitting and a few light marks in the finish.
Receiver has light edge wear on the upper edge on both sides. On the right side of the receiver, there are a few light scratches and marks in the metal near the upper edge. On the left side there is a light mark in the finish in front of the side plate. Light finish wear on the knurling of the toggle knobs. Light edge wear on the toggle link and breech block. There is a spot on the left side of the barrel with heavy finish wear and light pitting. There are a pair of surface marks on the right side of the barrel near the muzzle. There are a pair of heavy impact marks to the left and right sides of the front sight.
Walnut grips have fair to good checkering overall. The wood has darkened with use, and there is a heavy pressure mark on the right side grip, next to the magazine catch. Magazine has correct walnut base with metal plug.
No P stamp found.
Includes military leather holster with shoulder sling. Holster was made by "J. WECHNER" of Arth (canton Schwyz) in 1944.
