Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1898, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers except for the bolt knob.
Both upper and lower bolt knobs are cracked.
Furniture has a worn appearance.
On the right side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks and a mild gouge around the center of the butt. Heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are mild and heavy pressure marks and light gouging on the butt. Mild pressure mark on the wrist. Rash from the wrist to the finger groove. Light gouging around the finger groove. Heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band. Light gouging along the comb. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark before the rear barrel band and a mild gouge in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has mildly worn finish and light pitting. Heavy finish wear around the chamber. Rear barrel band has lightly worn finish and light pitting. Front barrel band has heavily worn finish. Magazine plate has mild to heavy finish wear. Trigger guard is approaching white and has light surface marks. Magazine base is approaching white.
