Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1898, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is chipped.
On the right side of the stock there is light gouging on the butt. Large, shallow pressure mark on the wrist. Light gouge before the finger groove. Light gouging before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges around the center of the butt. Heavy gouge on the pistol grip. Light gouging before the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge on the butt near the sling mount. Light gouging along the comb. Handguard has a mild pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish, light surface marks, and light patina. Heavy finish wear over the chamber. Both barrel bands have mild to heavy finish wear. Barrel has heavily worn finish. Magazine plate has lightly worn finish. Trigger guard has mildly worn finish and mild patina. Magazine base has mild to heavy finish wear and light patina.
P stamped receiver.
·9 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1909.
