Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1898, in very good condition with 85% finish. 3/5 Bore (mildly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
On the right side of the stock there is a mild to heavy gouge on the butt. Deep scratch on the wrist. light gouging between the wrist and the finger groove. Mild pressure marks in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is light to mild gouging on the wrist. Light gouging in and around the finger groove. Light gouge and mild pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band. Light gouge halfway between the barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there is a large, light gouge between the sling mount and the pistol grip. Light gouging before the front barrel band. Handguard has light gouging before the rear barrel band and a light gouge halfway between the barrel bands.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light surface marks. Heavy edge wear around the loading slot. Rear barrel band has light to mild pitting. Magazine plate has mildly worn finish. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish. Magazine base has heavily worn finish
