Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1898, in good condition with 70% finish. 3/5 Bore (mildly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are chipped.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt. Light gouging on the pistol grip and wrist. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt. Light gouging before the finger groove. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges on the wrist. 1/4" crack at the receiver tang. Handguard has light gouging before the rear barrel band and before the front barrel band.
Receiver has heavily worn finish and light to mild patina. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish and mild patina. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish and mild to heavy patina. Barrel has lightly worn finish. Magazine plate has mildly worn finish and light to mild patina. Trigger guard has mildly worn finish and heavy patina. Magazine base is in the white.
P53 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1953.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
