Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1897, in very good condition with 90% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Stock was modified to increase the length of pull by 1", to 13.75".
Receiver was drilled and tapped to accept a scope mount or other aiming device.
On the right side of the stock there is a light gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a mild gouge low on the butt. Mild pressure mark on the wrist.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light surface marks. Both barrel bands have light tooling marks. Magazine plate has lightly worn finish. Trigger guard has light surface marks.
P35 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1935.
·9 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1909.
