Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1897, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Handguard has a small chip on the left side in front of the front barrel band.
On the right side of the stock there are mild pressure marks at the rear of the butt. Mild pressure marks below the bolt release lever. Mild gouging before the finger and a mild gouge above the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks near the rear of the butt. Mild gouging on the wrist. Mild pressure marks between the wrist and the finger groove. Series of vertical scratches below the finger groove. Scratch in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a mild pressure mark on the butt before the rear sling mount. Heavy gouge at the forward end of the comb. Handguard has a light gouge in front of the rear barrel band and a mild pressure mark before the rear barrel band.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear and light patina. Light to mild surface marks before the loading slot. Both barrel bands have light to mild finish wear and light patina. Magazine plate has lightly worn finish. Trigger guard has mild edge wear and mildly worn finish. Magazine base has been polished and is in the white.
