Antique Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1897, in good condition with 70% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
One of only 24,550 total 1896/11 Rifles produced that qualify as an Antique instead of Curio & Relic.
Both bolt knobs are chipped.
Handguard has an armory repaired crack between the barrel bands.
On the right side of the stock there is light gouging on the wrist. On the left side of the stock there is light gouging around the center of the butt. Mild gouging on the pistol grip. Light gouge above the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a mild pressure mark before the rear barrel band. On the top of the stock there is light gouging on the forward end of the comb.
Receiver has heavily worn finish and light surface marks. Both barrel bands have mild to heavy finish wear. Heavy finish wear at the muzzle. Magazine plate has mildly worn finish. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish. Magazine base has heavily worn finish.
