W+F Bern Swiss K31 w/ Matching Pioneer Bayonet - sn 873xxx
Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1946, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 4/5 Bore (dull bore, sharp rifling). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard do not match receiver serial number; both are numbered 582216 for a K31 produced in 1938. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture is in very rough condition. The stock has numerous heavy pressure marks throughout as well as some mild gouges. On the right side of the stock, there are multiple light to moderate pressure marks around the finger groove. There is also a small gouge above the finger groove at the woodline and a larger gouge above the right corner of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are many light to mild pressure marks from the top of the grip to the finger groove. To the right of the finger groove is a crescent shaped gouge. Multiple marks found along the comb and there are a couple of gouges at the tang. The handguard has a gouge on the top side, near the ferrule, a gouge on the right side before the rear barrel band, and a gouge on the right side near the front barrel band.
The butt of the stock may have been used to strike an object as there is an impact mark near the edge, causing the butt plate to pull away from the butt at the toe.
Receiver has light edge wear around the loading slot, at the rear next to the bolt plug, and on the right side. Light finish wear on the rear left side of the stock. There is also some scattered light pitting on the top of the receiver. Rear barrel band has heavy finish wear. Front barrel band has light to mild finish wear. Moderate finish wear on the front sight. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Trigger guard has light edge wear. Magazine base has light finish wear.
Includes model 1914 Pioneer Bayonet with matching serial number. Bayonet includes steel scabbard and leather frog. Bayonet has very light pitting throughout the blade and pommel.
Receiver is P stamped.

The Karabiner Model 1931 (K31) is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) that was the standard issue rifle of the Swiss Armed Forces from 1933 through 1958. The K31 was made by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern, a Swiss federal armory, and is one of the last carbines employed by the Swiss military that is based on the designs by Schmidt and Rubin.
