Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1943, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Various light to mild pressure marks found throughout the furniture. On the right side of the stock there are a couple of small patches of finish wear on the grip. There are multiple small pressure marks forward of the finger groove and a longer mild pressure mark above the top corner of the finger groove, below the rear sight. On the forearm in front of the rear barrel band there is an area with multiple small pressure marks. On the left side of the stock, in front of the rear sling mount there is a long diagonal pressure mark. There are very many light to mild pressure marks from the midpoint of the stock to the top of the grip. On the underside of the stock there are two small gouges and several pressure marks at the toe. Two small gouges are found on the forearm before the rear barrel band. There are two mild pressure marks on the comb of the stock. There is a small gouge in the handguard on the right side above the woodline.
Receiver has a mostly even, light wear. Light edge wear around the loading slot. Slightly heavier finish wear on the left side at the rear. Rear barrel band has mild finish wear all around with light patina. Front barrel band has very little finish wear and may have been refinished. Light edge wear around the front sight. Magazine plate has good bluing, with finish wear near the magazine catch and a few small marks around the rear screw. Trigger guard has edge wear and mild finish wear on the underside. Magazine has mostly light finish wear with mild edge wear on the left side, light edge wear on the right side, and a few marks in the metal.
Threading in the stock for the bottom butt plate screw is stripped.
Receiver is P stamped.
Includes matching serial number model 1918 bayonet with steel sheath and leather frog. Very dark bluing on sheath. Bayonet was manufactured by Elsener Schwyz.

The Karabiner Model 1931 (K31) is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) that was the standard issue rifle of the Swiss Armed Forces from 1933 through 1958. The K31 was made by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern, a Swiss federal armory, and is one of the last carbines employed by the Swiss military that is based on the designs by Schmidt and Rubin.
