Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1942, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has been previously sanded and refinished as the Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock is not visible. Furniture has various light pressure marks throughout. On the right side of the stock there is a round shaped heavy pressure mark or stamp of some sort before the rear barrel band which extends to the handguard. On the underside of the stock there is a small area in front of the magazine plate with mild to fair pressure marks and a couple of light gouges.
Receiver has mild finish wear throughout. Mild edge wear around the loading slot. There are a couple of light scratches in the finish behind the rear edge of the loading slot. Mild edge wear on the right side. Light finish wear on both barrel bands. Mild to fair finish wear on the exposed barrel. Mild discoloration from pitting on the magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine. Mild edge wear on the trigger guard. Trigger guard also has a light surface mark in the metal on the edge.
Receiver is P stamped.
Diopter sights are installed. Rear sight is an original W+F BERN K-type diopter with six selectable apertures. Front sight is a W+F BERN K-type tunnel sight.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
Includes leather sling.
