Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1934, in very good condition with 85% finish. 3/5 Bore (light to mild pitting at the start of the rifling, light pitting through the remainder of the bore). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers. Diopter sights installed.
On the right side of the stock, there is a brass plaque installed on the butt with the name "WALTER HALDEMANN" of Oensingen (canton Solothurn). Heavy gouge at the toe. Long, heavy pressure mark in front of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark and heavy pressure mark on the butt, behind the rear sling mount. Light gouging below the right side of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock, there is a light gouge behind the front barrel band. Handguard has scattered light gouges.
Receiver finish is lightly worn. Light pitting over the chamber. Rear barrel band has mildly worn finish. Trigger guard and the base of the magazine has light pitting.
Rear sight is an original six-aperture diopter on a W+F Bern K-type mount. Front sight is a tunnel sight.
P stamped. Soldier's tag found under the butt plate. 52 stamped on the tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1952.
Includes leather sling.
