Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1934, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 2/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine Matching serial number.
Stock has an unrepaired crack on the right side, coming off the left side of the finger groove.
A gloss coat has been previously applied to the furniture. On the left side of the stock, there is a tiger stripe pattern at the butt, rear of the grip. There is an armory repair at the woodline below the receiver. There is a heavy pressure mark on the comb of the stock near the receiver tang. The handguard has many light pressure marks throughout. On the right side of the handguard there is a heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band and there is a group of fair to moderate pressure marks near the front barrel band.
Overall bluing had been partially or fully refurbished at some point. Receiver finish is dark. Minimal edge wear around the loading slot. There are some light scratches in the finish on the left side of the receiver. Heavy finish wear around the barrel step. Minor to very light finish wear on the barrel bands. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Light edge wear on the magazine base.
Diopter sights are installed. Rear sight is an adjustable aperture sight mounted on a W+F BERN K-type mount. Front sight is a W+F BERN K-type tunnel sight.
Receiver is P stamped. 56 stamped on the tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1956.
