Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1942, in very good condition with 90% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Stock has a long wood grain pattern. On the right side of the stock are a few light pressure marks below the bolt release lever. There is a long scratch below the handguard ferrule, and several mild pressure marks along the woodline before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are several light pressure marks rear of the grip and a light pressure mark on the grip. Multiple very light to light pressure marks past the grip, including a long, light pressure mark. Light gouge above the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there are multiple light to mild pressure marks along the toe. Several light to mild pressure marks around the front of the magazine plate. Pair of light gouges a little past the magazine plate. Multiple light pressure marks along the forearm. The comb has a few scuffs and light pressure marks. The handguard has many light to mild pressure marks in between the ferrule and the rear barrel band. There is a large, mild pressure mark on the left side in front of the rear barrel band and a small gouge on the right side of the handguard near the front barrel band.
Receiver has light finish wear along the left side. Light edge wear around the loading slot. Rear barrel band has light finish wear and light patina throughout. Front barrel band has light finish wear, some tool marks around the mounting screw, and light edge wear around the bayonet lug. Light edge wear around the front sight. Magazine plate has very light edge wear around the rear screw. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Magazine has a few scratches and light marks on the underside.
Receiver is P stamped. Soldier's tag found under butt plate.

The Karabiner Model 1931 (K31) is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) that was the standard issue rifle of the Swiss Armed Forces from 1933 through 1958. The K31 was made by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern, a Swiss federal armory, and is one of the last carbines employed by the Swiss military that is based on the designs by Schmidt and Rubin.
