Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1941, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 4/5 Bore (light pitting throughout bore). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine non-matching serial number (s/n 821940, a 1944-production K31).
Furniture exhibits mild handling wear overall. On the right side of the stock, there are various light to mild pressure marks from the butt to the grip and a few scattered scrapes. There is an area of heavy handling wear in front of the finger groove, below the rear sight. Small surface gouge on the forearm in between the two barrel bands. On the left side of the stock, there is a gouge below the comb, in front of the rear sling mount. On the underside of the stock, there is handling wear along the toe, as well as some light scratches, light pressure marks, and small, light gouges. Small gouge to the left of the magazine plate near the mounting screw. Scratch in the forearm in front of the rear barrel band. On the comb there are a couple of light to mild pressure marks. The handguard has several mild pressure marks on the top side between the base and the rear barrel band. On the front half of the handguard, there are two gouges on the right side and a small gouge near the front barrel band.
The receiver overall has mild finish wear. Light edge wear around the loading slot. Slightly heavier finish wear toward the rear of the receiver. Edge wear on the right side of the receiver. Light pitting found along the top of the receiver. Rear barrel band has moderate to heavy finish wear on the top and right side as well as mild pitting. Bluing on the front barrel band is dark. Moderate finish wear on the barrel. Light edge wear on the front sight. Good to very good finish on the magazine plate with a very small mark next to the magazine catch. Light edge wear on the trigger guard with some light scratches in the finish. Magazine has very light edge wear on the base.
Receiver is P stamped.

The Karabiner Model 1931 (K31) is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) that was the standard issue rifle of the Swiss Armed Forces from 1933 through 1958. The K31 was made by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern, a Swiss federal armory, and is one of the last carbines employed by the Swiss military that is based on the designs by Schmidt and Rubin.
