Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1937, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 4/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Rifling is lightly worn and there is light pitting throughout the bore.
Rear sight features a fine tuning adjustment for elevation.
Two stripes of red paint are found between the two barrel bands around both the stock and the handguard. On the left side of the stock, there are several pressure marks near the wood line in front of the grip. There is some wear in the wood finish behind the pistol grip, attributed to the leather sling's button. There are a few scratches in the wood below and to the right of the rear sling mount. On the right side of the stock, there are multiple light pressure marks scattered along the side of the stock at the rear. Below the finger groove is a cluster of light pressure marks. There are some scratches near the rear barrel band. On the underside are several pressure marks along the toe and light pressure marks scattered throughout the fore-end. The handguard has a few moderate pressure marks on the top side at the rear, and light pressure marks throughout.
The receiver has edge wear around the loading slot. The bluing is mildly worn from about the midpoint to the rear.
Bluing on the rear barrel band is heavily worn; most of the heavy wear is found on the right side. The front barrel band has a small mark on the top side, edge wear on the left side at the hinge, finish wear on the right side at the mounting screw, and moderate edge wear on the bayonet lug. Trigger plate bluing is lightly worn. Trigger guard has edge wear and light finish wear. Bluing on the magazine base is thinning and has edge wear around the perimeter, with heavier edge wear on the right side.
