Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1948, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has areas of heavy handling and finish wear. Heavy finish wear at the butt of the stock.
On the right side of the stock at the butt, there are multiple light pressure marks and fair to heavy gouges. Heavy gouging at the pistol grip and along the grip. Several fair to moderate gouges around the finger groove, and some heavy gouging at the woodline. Several heavy gouges along the forearm between the finger groove and the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there is a heavy gouge on the pistol grip. Heavy handling wear from the grip to the right side of the finger groove. There are a couple of mild gouges above the finger groove and heavy gouging below the finger groove. Gouging at the forward edge of the stock, in front of the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are a few mild gouges at the toe and some moderate gouging on the pistol grip and the grip. On the forearm between the magazine plate and the rear barrel band there are multiple scrapes and heavy gouges. Moderate gouges along the comb of the stock. Handguard has primarily light to mild pressure marks.
Receiver finish is lightly worn, with an area of mild to fair finish wear on the left side of the receiver toward the rear. Light to mild edge wear around the loading slot. Light scratch in the finish to the right of the Swiss shield. Light finish wear on the right side at the forward edge. Heavy finish wear and light patina on the right side of the rear barrel band. Light to mild finish wear on the front barrel band. Mild edge wear around the front sight base. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light edge wear and light finish wear on the trigger guard. Mild to fair finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped on the receiver tang. 55 stamp on the tang indicates armory refurbishment in 1955.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
