Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1946, in good condition with 75% original finish. 3/5 Bore (dull bore). 2/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Beech furniture has a very worn, dull appearance. Stock has been previously sanded as the Swiss military acceptance stamp is nearly gone. Heavy handling and finish wear around the butt of the stock.
On the right side of the stock, there are heavy gouges around the butt along the lower edge. Large, heavy gouge below the bolt release lever. On the forearm, there is a heavy gouge on the woodline between the stock and handguard. Mild gouge at the woodline between the two barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there is a gouge around the upper screw of the rear sling mount and a heavy gouge before the grip, below the comb. There are several moderate to heavy gouges along the pistol grip and the grip. Gouging and rash above the finger groove. Mild gouging in front of the rear barrel band. There are multiple heavy gouges on the underside of the stock from the toe to the pistol grip, and there are mild gouges on the pistol grip. Mild gouge on the right side of the magazine plate near the front screw, and there are mild gouges forward of the magazine plate. Gouging along the comb of the stock. On the right side of the handguard, there are light gouges between the ferrule and rear barrel band. On the left side of the handguard there are light gouges between the two barrel bands. There is a heavy gouge on the top side of the handguard in front of the front barrel band, and seems like it may have been caused by a saw.
Receiver finish is heavily worn, likely due to cleaning and polishing previous rust as there are spots from light pitting throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and light pitting. Fair to moderate finish wear on the exposed barrel. Moderate to heavy finish wear on the front sight base and at the muzzle. Mild marks in the finish on the magazine plate next to the magazine catch. Light edge wear and light finish wear on the trigger guard. Light finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
