Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1945, in good condition with 75% original finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt is refurbished with matching electropenciled serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has a worn appearance. Heavy handling and finish wear around the butt of the stock.
On the right side of the stock at the butt, there is a large, heavy gouge on the pistol grip and a gouge on the grip near the trigger guard. Before the rear barrel band, there is a scratch and a heavy pressure mark near the woodline and a large gouge adjacent to the barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there are a couple of light gouges above the rear sling mount. Heavy handling and finish wear between the grip and the right side of the finger groove, with scrapes and several gouges just below the woodline. On the underside of the stock at the toe are several light gouges. On the forearm between the end of the magazine plate and the finger groove there are numerous light gouges and scrapes. Heavy gouging found along the comb of the stock. Handguard has light pressure marks throughout.
Receiver has moderate to heavy finish wear, particularly over the chamber, and light pitting throughout. Both barrel bands have moderate to heavy finish wear and heavy patina. Heavy edge wear on the upper edge of the front sight base. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light edge wear and light finish wear on the trigger guard. Light edge wear and light finish wear on the magazine. Light pitting throughout the magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
