Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1943, in very good condition with 90% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 2/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Stock has tiger striping visible at the butt and on the underside of the stock at the forearm. Furniture exhibits moderate to heavy handling wear with many pressure marks throughout. Finish is worn around the butt. On the right side of the stock, there are multiple scratches along the side of the butt, some small gouges near the heel, a long pressure mark to the right of the Swiss military acceptance stamp, and a few small gouges near the pistol grip. Several mild pressure marks found below the bolt release lever. Additionally, below the bolt release lever is a large rectangular splice. There is a crack in the stock to the left of the finger groove that has been glued but not repaired with a wood rivet. There are several long scratches and gouging below the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a gouge in front of the rear sling mount. There is a scrape to the left of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there are some scrape and heavy pressure marks at the butt. Light gouge found before the rear barrel band and there is a heavy pressure mark halfway between the two barrel bands. Small gouge on the top side of the handguard near the rear barrel band. Handguard is chipped underneath the front barrel band.
Receiver has light edge wear around the loading slot and some small, light scratches in the finish at the rear. Both barrel bands have light finish wear. Magazine plate has a scratch in the finish next to the magazine catch. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Light edge wear and light finish wear on the base of the magazine.
Receiver is P stamped.
