Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1943, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 5/5 bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Stock was manufactured by splicing two pieces of wood together just behind the rear barrel band, which was done during wartime due to raw material shortages. Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock at the butt is very sharp.
On the right side of the stock, there are a couple of mild pressure marks on the grip. There is a small, light gouge above the finger groove and another small, light gouge below the finger groove. There are a few small pressure marks below and forward of the handguard ferrule. On the left side of the stock, there is light finish wear at the butt. There are several light to mild pressure marks running below the comb and a light gouge near the forward end of the grip. Heavy pressure mark above the left side of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock, there is finish wear at the toe adjacent to the butt plate and a mild scrape forward of the toe. Small gouges around the edge of the magazine plate, next to the trigger guard. Light gouging around the rear barrel band spring. Handguard has multiple light to mild pressure marks throughout.
Receiver finish is heavily worn and has light pitting throughout. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and light patina. Light edge wear around the front sight base. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light to mild edge wear on the trigger guard. Light to mild edge wear and light finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
